Breached TafeSA's Onarken system

28/08/2025
On August 28, 2025, Aiden gained unauthorized access to the Onarken system at the TAFE SA Adelaide campus. During this breach, he successfully exfiltrated sensitive student records and utilized his system access to facilitate the physical theft of TAFE SA laptops. This was not a minor technical bypass, but a targeted effort to obtain personal data for the purpose of ongoing harassment. The stolen records, which included private contact information, were immediately weaponized. Aiden used this data to seek out new targets and, more alarmingly, to re-establish contact with existing victims. Many of these individuals had previously changed their phone numbers and personal details specifically to escape his reach, only to be found again through the compromised TAFE SA database. When the incident was brought to the attention of TAFE SA administration, the institution acknowledged that the breach had occurred but failed to take appropriate action. Instead of reporting the theft and data exfiltration to the South Australian Police for criminal prosecution, the administration downplayed the severity of the event. The situation was largely swept under the rug, resulting in a minor disciplinary slap on the wrist for Aiden. This failure by TAFE SA left the student body vulnerable and provided Aiden with a sense of impunity. This record stands to ensure that the breach and the subsequent lack of institutional accountability are not forgotten, and to warn current students that their personal information was handled with a disregard for their physical and digital safety.
